The new Benelli USA 3-Gun team just completed its first spring training camp in the Texas hill country at FTW Ranch, a precision marksmanship training facility renowned for its SAAM (Sportsman’s All-Weather All Terrain Marksmanship) training program. The session revolved around several aspects of Benelli’s 3-Gun program agenda—range practice on all three shooting platforms, media interview and social media techniques and even 2nd amendment advocacy communications were covered during the three-day program. Ammo sponsor Fiocchi was also on hand to work with the team and monitor ammunition performance.
Benelli USA Vice President of Marketing Tom Kaleta noted the importance of the spring training camp. “We’re a new team—although the shooters themselves are experienced and some of them have shot for us in the past—it’s important they work together as a cohesive group and play off one another’s strengths, and understand how to communicate what the team stands for and is striving to achieve.”
FTW Ranch was chosen as the location for Benelli’s first spring training camp based on the facility’s expertise in delivering intense marksmanship training.
“The FTW Ranch program was superbly managed—great hospitality and hands-on training with three instructors and two assistants working with us the entire time. Everyone got a chance to improve their shooting, and since every shooter on the Benelli team is top notch in their own right, we were able to learn from each other and pass along some techniques,” said team leader Dianna Liedorff-Muller. “It really gave us a chance to get together as a team and knock off the rust.”
