Armament Systems and Procedures (ASP), one of the most respected names in law enforcement products, is now shipping the Triad USB, the industry’s first Micro USB rechargeable tactical LED light, and the Triad Tactical Light Case (TLC).
Triad USB
Powered by an 18650 Lithium-Ion battery, the Triad USB can be recharged on the go using a computer laptop or any micro USB cell phone charger. The Triad USB’s revolutionary technology produces a brilliant 300 lumens of light with a continuous runtime of approximately two hours.
“The Triad USB is designed to deliver both unprecedented performance and convenience in a tactical light,” says ASP Chairman and CEO Kevin Parsons, PhD.
Parsons says the Triad USB incorporates all of the key features of ASP’s Triad family lights, including the 3-position quiet switch (intermittent, locking and constant-on) and a foamed, vinyl grip that is durable yet tacky and provides insulation from the heat this type of light gives off.
The Triad USB’s battery has a protection circuit module to prevent overcharging or short -circuiting, and the battery indicator on the light blinks red when charging and turns solid green when fully charged.
The Triad USB is also designed with “Dual Fuel Technology” meaning it can be powered by two CR 123A batteries in the event recharging with the Micro USB port is not possible.
The Triad USB comes with a detachable and reversible pocket clip, a Micro USB to USB retractable cord, a car charger, a wall charger and a zippered travel case.
The MSRP is $125.00.
Triad Tactical Light Case
The Triad Tactical Light Case (TLC) carries every flashlight in ASP’s Triad family of lights.
The lights are secured in the Triad TLC with the lens down. This position protects the lens from scratching and lets the user easily grab the flashlight’s grip, pull it straight from the case and quickly shine the beam on a suspect or a situation.
The Triad TLC’s clip attaches securely to a duty belt, dress belt or Molle vest and rotates to 12 different positions.
To prevent wear and tear from daily use, the Triad TLC is made of polymer technology like that of the finest firearms. It has an open bottom to alert the user if the light inadvertently activates.
“The Triad TLC is both dependable and practical,” Parsons said. “A law enforcement officer can rely on it in any situation.”
The MSRP is $24.00.
