The past two Bassmaster Classics have one thing in common: both have been won out of the same boat model, the Triton 21 TrX, a state-of-the-art 21-foot tournament boat with a host of innovative features. For 2016, Triton introduces three new models in the series, adding popular 18- and 19-foot formats completing the 179 thru 22 TrX line-up and bringing Classic-winning features to the midsized bass boat market.
Triton’s Classic-winning 21 TrX series has been expanded to include the following new models:
* The 19 TrX, a 19-foot, 9-inch tournament model with a super-wide 95-inch beam that rates for outboards to 225 hp. With its high-performance hull and radically new triton boatsClassic-inspired interior layout, this cutting-edge fishing machine rewards serious anglers with enhanced levels of fishability, performance and convenience in a sensibly sized format. Like its 21-foot Classic-winning cousin, the 19 TrX sports a massive front deck with port and starboard rod lockers as well as a huge center rod /tackle storage module that’s designed to provide instant access to your favorite rods while keeping your entire tackle stash totally organized. Other Classic-winning features include an oversized bow panel capable of flush-mounting a 12-inch graph, bow cup holder and tool caddy, built-in recessed bow navigation lights, ergonomic driver’s console with backlit switches and a dash that can accommodate a 12-inch electronics unit, Sea Star hydraulic steering, Hot Foot, steering wheel trim switch, oversized built-in ice chest with “sandwich shelf,” passenger foot rest with handy pull-out storage drawer, newly-designed driver and passenger seats, massive rear deck housing twin oversized tackle storage modules and Triton’s Classic-proven livewell system, Motor Guide X3 trolling motor, Lowrance Elite 5 CHIRP graph, plus a sleek new transom with jack plate. It comes with a custom drive-on tandem-axle trailer with brakes on both axles and a spare tire.
* The 18 TrX. This 18-foot, 8-inch Triton, which rates for 200 hp outboards, sports a massive 94-inch beam, making it one of the roomiest tournament boats in its size class. With its twin rod storage lockers, oversized bow tackle compartment and two extra-deep rear deck storage modules, this enormous 18-footer can easily swallow a warehouse full of fishing gear. Like the other models in this line-up, the 18 TrX comes with Classic-inspired bow and console features including the ability to flush-mount 12-inch electronics units at both locations, along with a host of additional winning features. It comes standard with Hot Foot, steering wheel trim switch, jack plate, Motor Guide X3 trolling motor, Lowrance Elite 5 CHIRP graph, Sea Star hydraulic steering and custom drive-on trailer with disc brakes and a spare tire.
* The 189 TrX. This all-new Triton has the same dimensions and interior format as the 18 TrX. It comes with a Motor Guide X3 trolling motor, Lowrance Mark 5X graph, Bay Star steering and custom drive-on trailer with disc brakes. The 189 TrX rates for 150 hp outboards.
“Triton has totally amped up the midsized bass boat category with these new models!” claims 2015 Bassmaster Classic champion Casey Ashley. “Not everybody needs a 21-foot bass boat, and now, thanks to Triton, anglers can fish from an 18- or 19-footer that has the same level of fishability, performance, convenience and comfort found on the 21 TrX that I use.”
