As always, fishing was a short time out, but I was able to find a few using the new Custom Jigs & Spins RPM, Slender Spoon and Tungsten jigs. Of course I had to pull out the old standby – lime glow Demon.
I caught bass, crappie and some nice 8 to 9 inch bluegill.
Most were in the deeper water and holding 1 to 3 feet from the bottom. The lure had to be dropped all the way to the bottom and worked upward.
May partner, Don Banning, was hitting a few bluegill doing the same thing, and using wax worms as a dressing. However, it didn’t seem like he could get the 9 inchers.
I hope to get out a few more times this week, but that depends on weather, media business, working on prizes for the upcoming RICC Winter Fishing Tournament and other things in my life.
Until next time, get out water and have a great day of fishing.
