I took Pepper fishing and shooting today. It is the first time in a few years that he has been able to get back out around the water, and he loved it. However, he is a pooped pup tonight. The fishing was tough. There was high wind, and plenty of thunderstorms. At one point we ended up waiting some storms out in the Yukon.
For quite a while I thought Pepper was a jinx as I was getting zeroed out, but then a nice size bass hit a bucktail Road Runner. I didn’t get him hooked, but at least it provided a start.
I kept switching from Natural Forage Baits products to Blitz Lures LLC combined with NFB trailers, but not much was happening.
About the time when I was ready to pack up Pepper and head home I hung into a 20-incher on a NFB RT7 Texas rigged on a XPoint XGap hook. From there Pepper started to get a little more excited since I caught a few more within the final half hours. All fish were on the windy shore, where it was blowing directly in. They were hanging on the mid-point from deepest water and inner weed lines.

Until next time, get out on the water, and enjoy a great day of fishing.
