American Tactical Firefly, Ruger LCR 22 taget video and review and more in this section of Gun Rap. I picked up my Ruger LCR22 today from my FFL dealer, B&B Hardware in Milan, IL.
It has not been fired, but the trigger pull was a major disappointment. I’ve removed the grip and sprayed it with Gun Protect by Red Eagle Technologies, as well as the trigger area. I then loaded it with empty shell casings and dry fired it several times. The pull is still quite heavy, but it has lessened a bit with the Gun Protect treatment. It needed cleaned anyway, as you should always do with a new gun before firing.
Hopefully I’ll be able to get out tomorrow and give it a try. I’m told the more it is fired the better it will get. I’ve also been told just the opposite. From what I understand the LCRs are sort of a weird breed on their trigger pulls. Guess we will find out. So stay tuned for further reports.
Until next time, shoot safe and have a great day of plinking.

After shooting the Ruger LCR22 for the first time I definitely found it to be a good revolver. It is nowhere near being broken in, but already shooting very well. I really like the sights, weight and overall gun, with the only negative being the very heavy trigger pull, more so than other revolvers I’m shot. However, it is still a very good gun. I also shot it at a distance of 20 yards, which will be another upcoming video, as soon as it can be uploaded.

Shot the short 1.87″ barrel of the Ruger LCR 22 from the 20 yard line.

This shows how changing the front sight of the American Tactical Firefly can change the way the pistol shoots. However, there wasn’t the change that was expected.
