Conceived in a cornfield but nearly born on the banks of the Detroit River, Mike Borovic has never won a Grammy, Emmy, nor received a Nobel Prize but sure has caught a walleye or two! Raised on Lake St Clair and residing in the city of Windsor (Ontario Canada), Mike was born with an extra big toe. The extra digit was removed long before he could use it, robbing him of any super-powers and ending his traveling circus act before it even began. Unable to battle the forces of evil, Mike is now amongst the rank of the working class tax-paying citizens.
Working only for the weekends, Mike indulges himself over and over and over in the outdoors, a means of temporarily escaping the sheeple like conformity of today’s socially pressured fast-lane society.
Obsessed with fishing, hunting and wilderness backpacking, Mike is honestly consumed by everything outdoors. Belonging to a tight social net-work, made up of locals in the Southwestern region of Ontario, Mike is always enthusiastically willing to help others or share his experiences, even if it means giving up his waypoint to a honey-hole.
As Mike clearly states for his recently published book “I have been blessed in so many ways to gain the experiences I have. There have been so many good people I have met, whether I’ve known them for a while now or someone, I just met. These are the distinguished individuals who have taken the time to share their knowledge and what fuels their passion for the great outdoors. Because of their open handedness and unselfishness to educate and pass on to me, is the sole purpose I put this little book together. I too, want to be one of them.”
