After a great day at the Woodworth Shooting Range, my buddy Mike Jones demonstrated a very difficult shot on a Wild Boar. Using a 357 Magnum Henry Big Boy rifle and a 140 grain Hornady flextip bullet, he made a very difficult steeply quartering away shot. Normally not recommended on deer, a feral hog is an eradication animal.
Never the less the rear spine shot killed that hog instantly with a complete pass through at 80 yards in failing light. This Army Vet is a shooter. After seeing this, it racks up yet another amazing Henry Rifle Story. I shot that rifle myself and these Henry rifles of all types seem to be rivaling the bolt action rifles of other brands. Of course the 357 magnum is not a long range cartridge but inside 100 yards it works….Pass it on.
