Dan is on spot again with details on “Tearing down the American Tactical GSG Firefly”, “more on the Sportsman’s Guide Bench Rest” and the testing on the American Tactical/GSG 1911 22LR. Enjoy.
Soon I will be testing the American Tactical/GSG 1911 22LR in the blued model. This is a full size 1911 that shoots 22LR ammo. This is the model GERGU2210M1911S. It is compatible with many of the M1911 parts, and weighs in at 34.4 ounces.
Another gun being shipped in by American Tactical is the Firefly in the tan color. I tested this same model of 22 pistol in the past, only it was the black version, and filmed a couple of videos, one being a comparison to its “twin” the SIG Mosquito. However, that unit had some items missing in the shipment, such as the extra spring, so we are going to give it another go around. It shoots 22LR High Velocity, so will be using some CCI Mini-Mag, Remington Thunderbolt and Federal Premium Ammunition Match HV.
Stay tuned for written and video reviews, as well as being used for other shooting.

This is my latest Shoot ‘N’ Plink™ video that is a short review of the Sportsman’s Guide Bench Rest, and a shooting experiment using the Gamo Outdoor USA Swarm after using the bench to sight in the scope at one distance, and shooting at three.

Latest video. This on is showing how to teardown the American Tactical GSG Firefly for cleaning and changing the spring to shoot different ammo velocities.
Until next time, shoot safe and have a great day of plinking.
