Amazingly another year has come and gone; what an incredibly wonderful year 2015 was for the Anglers for Conservation, its programs and the volunteers, kids, and families that participated in these events: Advanced Teen Angler Camps, Ecoscape Days, Fishing Workshops, Hook Kids on Fishing programs, Indian River Lagoon Paddle Adventure’s Paddle a Portion,
Protect Our Waters Party, Ocean-Reef-Beach Festival and Take a Veteran Fishing Day.
In 2016, we trust you will consider becoming a member of one of these events committees. It takes proactive people like ourselves to make the changes needed to assure a bright future to recreational fishing.
On behave of all of the Anglers for Conservation’s Board of Directors and office staff we wish to thank the sponsors, the volunteers, the parents and the communities for taking part in this past year’s events; and wishing you the best in 2016.
President – Anglers for Conservation

Protect Our Waters Event
Another Success Well, we did it again! AFC put on another successful fundraising event with the help of the recreational fishing community. Local and not-so-local captains and fishing aficionados spent the evening auctioning themselves off to the highest bidders with the purpose to raise awareness of our great Indian River Lagoon and surrounding waters. The passion these people feel for marine conservation shined through every one of them as they came forth and spoke of what it means to them, their businesses, their families, and their families legacies. They talked about the importance of organizations like AFC, who work to educate the next generation of marine stewards. |

Ocean-Reef-Beach Festival Review For the fourth year in a row, AFC partnered with Pure Ocean Productions and the Sebastian Surfrider Foundation for the Ocean-Reef-Beach Festival at Pelican Beach Park in Satellite Beach. The weather cooperated, and it was a beautiful day at the beach. |

2016 Surf & Ocean Fishing Workshop Tour Fishing guru-instructor, outdoor photojournalist Rodney Smith will be conducting his Surf & Ocean Fishing Workshops at ten Central Florida locations in early 2016. These workshops are designed to share useful information covering the fishing fundamentals and skills needed to improve one’s catching. |

Ocean Conservancy – Keeping Track Keeping track of the changes that occur in the many facets of recreational fishing regulations is an important and ever-challenging task. Following updates on information dealing with seasons, slot-sizes, bag limits and closures are only a portion of the regulations anglers need to be aware of when it comes to obeying fishery’s laws. |
