Pepper and I made another quick trip to the lake, and shot another video, which will be up and running soon.
The “king for the day” of lures, again, was Natural Forage Baits Swim Bait in the green shad color, and rigged on a BFishn Tackle H20 Precision jig head.
I fished the bait through deep weed beds and islands with lift-and-fall and sweep retrieves.
I caught bass, crappie and catfish. I’ve found that the 4″ NFB Swim Bait has been a very good producer for larger crappie. Several have been caught from 13 to 18 inches since I started using it last season. Natural Forage Baits makes some very productive soft plastics, plus it has Kick’n Bass Fish Attractants cooked right into their baits, to which I’ll add more to help create “odor zones” to which several casts will be made.
Hopefully I’ll get the Ranger out tomorrow.
Until next time, get out on the water, and enjoy a great day of fishing.
