Boston Whaler 345 Conquest Wins

Boston Whaler 345 ConquestIt was the feature that drew Boston Whaler fans from near and far to the Miami Convention Center: the Dynamic Cabin System on the all-new 345 Conquest, a must-see breakthrough in v-berth functionality that will change how boaters use their cabins. The system earned accolades from the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), receiving a 2014 Innovation Award in the Furnishings and Interior Parts category during the annual Miami International Boat Show.

“Boston Whaler is honored to have received this award for a defining feature of our new 345 Conquest,” said Jeff Vaughn, vice president of sales, marketing and customer service. “The Dynamic Cabin System demonstrates perfectly our commitment to innovation, in the form of purposeful, cutting-edge design that comfortably and fluidly accommodates a variety of uses.”

Introduced in October 2013, the 345 Conquest marries rugged, professional-grade capability with convenience-minded amenities that make it equally suited for offshore fishing trips and gracious entertaining. Its Dynamic Cabin System is a true standout, featuring a large dining table in the forward berth with seating for six adults, which converts electronically at the simple push of a button to form a plush queen-sized bed. Housed out of sight when not in use, the halves of the bed join in a smooth, scissor-like motion, as access stairs on both sides are revealed. Blue LED lighting from underneath lends a stylish glow.

“The conversion from table to bed is effortless, and it instantly transforms the whole space,” said Vaughn. “It’s an advancement we’re very proud of.”

Elsewhere in the cabin, a large starboard settee converts easily from a bench to a bed, offering both an inviting place to read or relax and a comfortable spot for additional passengers to sleep. Salon skylights allow natural light to fill the entire area. Storage options including rod racks and wood cabinets optimize every inch. Other amenities include a well-equipped galley, a graceful head and an entertainment center up in the mid-cabin with additional seating and sleeping space. The cabin affords boaters a perfect place to gather below decks after a long day on the water or at the start of a lively evening.

“The Dynamic Cabin System represents Boston Whaler’s investment in developing ever-smarter boats,” said Vaughn. “We’re pleased to earn the recognition of the NMMA for all the thought that has gone into the 345 Conquest.”

The Innovation Awards, organized by the NMMA and judged by Boating Writers International (BWI), recognize products that best meet criteria including innovative distinction from other products currently being manufactured; benefit to the marine industry and/or consumer; practicality; and cost-effectiveness. The 2014 Miami International Boat Show ran from February 13 to 17, and the NMMA Innovation Awards were presented on the first day of the show.
