The Cabela’s National Walleye Tour (NWT) recently unveiled the 2014 schedule, which includes three regular-season events and a championship, all nationally televised and taking place on some of the country’s premier walleye fisheries. The regular season kicks off April 25, 2014, on the Detroit River. The event will operate out of Trenton, Mich. In June, the NWT will visit Mobridge, S.D., on Lake Oahe. The final regular-season event is set for Aug. 29-30 on Bays De Noc at Escanaba, Mich. In September, the Cabela’s National Walleye Tour Championship will take place on legendary Lake Winnebago at Osh Kosh, Wis.
All 2014 NWT events feature 100% payback. A fully rigged Ranger boat, plus cash, is guaranteed for first place at each event. Anglers that fish all three regular-season events, in addition to the top points leaders, will qualify for the three-day, entry-fee championship.
The circuit also includes unprecedented television and media coverage, allowing a national audience to watch the action unfold from each event throughout the season. Airing on multiple networks, the National Walleye Tour will be seen on the World Fishing Network, Pursuit Channel, as well as the new NBC Sports Network.
