There has never been one before, so what is a catfish conference? Catfish Conference 2016 will be an opportunity for catfish angers of all persuasions to meet in a given location to learn, teach, listen, philosophize and maybe even preach about the Rodney Dangerfield like critter called catfish. Mainly the conference will be about sharing information and getting some respect for one of the fastest growing sports in the nation.
Steve Douglas of Monster Rod Holders and Jim Hopper from Jeff Jones Marine are hosts for the conference. Both want everyone to know the event is for the whole catfish industry. “It’s for everybody,” said Douglas. “If you are a novice angler come on out and we will show you the ropes and get you started. If you are a seasoned angler come on out and see the new products that are offered to you. If you are a tournament organizer come on out and promote your trail. If it has anything to do with catfishing it is going to be represented at the conference.”
