The cries of “oh no” from Christopher Johnson’s sister Brandy were instant Thursday night as the foreman of a 12-member jury from Lancaster County read the verdict that sentenced her brother to death for the murder of Pennsylvania Wildlife Conservation Officer David Grove on Nov. 11, 2010.
Johnson, 29, and the rest of his family also broke into tears as Adams County Common Pleas Judge Michael George gave the sentencing order, which will eventually send the Carroll Valley man to the State Correctional Institution at Rockview. He will be executed there by lethal injection, pending appeal, at a later date.
