Sept. 29 during the Delaware Sport Fishing Tournament. Caught on a green crab, the sheepshead was 28 inches long, with a girth of 24 inches, officials said. Walker’s catch was confirmed by a state Natural Resources Police officer and verified at the Lewes Harbour Marina.It shattered the state record previously set by Christopher Wentz, who landed a 15.11-pound sheepshead in 2012.
