Ducks Unlimited is launching the second season of its online film series in March. Watch a preview of this year’s films, as well films from last season, at www.ducks.org/dufilms. DU Films explore the lives and stories of duck hunters across the country. Viewers find out why they became hunters, what drives their passion, and how they are passing on our outdoor traditions. Going beyond the confines and formulas of traditional duck hunting shows, DU Films present the beauty of waterfowling in new and unexpected ways. At the heart of this series is a drive to conserve the habitats that make it all possible.
“DU Films is breaking boundaries and redefining outdoor entertainment,” said Tom Fulgham, DU’s Chief Communications Officer. “Throughout this series, viewers will enjoy some of the most spectacular, heart-stopping waterfowling footage ever. But what really sets these films apart are the unforgettable, inspiring, and sometimes humorous stories of the people we visit. As an organization founded and supported largely by duck hunters, we know that waterfowlers are special people with an unparalleled passion for our resources and traditions. These films celebrate that passion and, we hope, encourage others to get involved with waterfowling and conservation.”
This year’s films include:
- A South Carolina Lowcountry hunt with Special Forces heroes.
- A flooded timber adventure with DU supporters in Arkansas.
- An inspiring story about overcoming obstacles from Nebraska.
- A father-son mallard spectacular in Montana.
- A visit with college students who hunt between classes in Louisiana.
- A rare glimpse into waterfowling history from Mississippi.
The 2016 season of DU Films includes six films. DU will release one film per month this spring and summer, beginning in March.
DU Films is produced by Rock Road Creative and sponsored by Sitka Gear.
