“Lady Hawk” Lacy Byles (Facebook link – Lacy Byles) can shoot a rifle but she doesn’t need one, she can shoot a bow but she has something better. It’s an uncanny ability to communicate and hunt with Jester, the Red Tailed Hawk. To me it’s fascinating, this is the true Hunting Sport of Kings thousands of years old. A true Steel Magnolia from Natchitoches Louisiana, Lacy is mother of two little girls, already the oldest is communicating with a Sparrow Hawk. Her husband Ron Byles is also an avid outdoorsman and Hawk Man. To my knowledge there are only 37 Hawk Hunters in the state of Louisiana. Its not easy to become one. You have to be a special kind of good person as this is a truly elite hunting sport. Pass it on.
