Inshore fishing for trout, reds and snook continues to be good but spotty. Some days can be outstanding and some days require work to catch your limit. Capt. Eddie Caldwell reports redfish is good for redfish and snook around Christmas Pass. White bait is the bait of choice there. Look to the bay area power plant warm water runoffs for hot action as the water temperatures drop. Cobia have started to show up there as have pompano, mackerel, sharks, trout and redfish. he Skyway fishing piers have been having good shark action on both the smaller good eating sharks and the very big monster sized ones. Use the bigger the bait, the bigger the fish theory here. Kingfish action should start to pick up as we get closer to Thanksgiving. Maximo Marina reports anglers fishing the Egmont ship channel from markers 9 and 10 out have been finding good sized kings slow trolling live bait. Deep trolling with planers and big silver spoons has also been producing.
