History Channel’s hit reality TV show “Swamp People” is looking for more Cajun characters to follow.
Original Media Productions and The Casting Firm will hold a casting call for the show’s fourth season from noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 4 at Bootlegge’s Bar on Jefferson Street in downtown Lafayette.
The Lafayette call will be the final stop on casting directors’ three-week trek. The tour to find personalities will also stop in Baton Rouge and Beaumont, Texas, on Sunday; and in Houma on July 28.
Hunters who go to a casting call must be legal U.S. residents, fully licensed, and have at least 50 tags for the upcoming hunting season.
“Swamp People” casting director Noelle Cain said this is her first season with the show, and she’s looking to add compelling characters focused on the day-to-day activities of Cajuns who live in or around the Atchafalaya Basin and hunt alligators. Among the show’s popular characters are Troy, Jacob, Chase, and Clint Landry, who are from Pierre Part.
