Growing up in Idaho, I’ve spent a lot of time fishing in area rivers, streams, reservoirs, and lakes. I like to think I’ve done pretty well. I’ve caught a lot of fish that I’m really proud of. This afternoon, KTVB posted an article about a guy that caught a HUGE rainbow trout in the Clearwater River
in N. Idaho. I have seen a lot of big fish in my day, but I have never seen a trout as big as the one that he caught. The man who caught the fish was Larry Warren. He released the fish after he weighed it. It was a whopping 28 pounds! That’s 8 pounds heavier than the current state record! Unfortunately, it won’t go on the record books because it was released…At least he has the pictures to prove it!
