There’s a new contender for the IGFA 4 kg (8 lb) tippet class record for smallmouth bass (Micropterus dolomieu)! Dr. Ichiro Nagai recently made this 2.55 kg (5 lb 9 oz) catch fishing with guide Hiroyuki Motoyuma in Japan’s Lake Inawashiro.
