Fishing has been in Marianne’s blood since age 6 on the big waters of Lake Michigan.She has sought out many species including perch, northern pike, bass, salmon, musky, pan fish and of course her favorite “Walleye”.
2009 was the beginning of Marianne’s Professional Angling Career as the only woman 
on the Pro Walleye Tour.Since then she has competed in all of the AIM Pro Walleye Angler Tournaments as well as a few FLW Tournaments. She is currently looking toward her third year competing in the National Walleye Tour.
In 2010 Marianne Huskey was awarded the “Dave Anderson Sportsman of the Year” award. The award was voted on by all of her professional angling peers.
In 2012 at the Bay Mills AIM Can-Am Pro Tournament she finished a strong 2nd and made history as the highest placing female competing against all males in a Pro-AM format.Later that year with the most points earned throughout the season she won the “Angler of the Year” title and making history again as the 1st woman to compete against an all male field and win this title.As in the beginning on the waters with her mentor, her grandfather it was the highlight of her carrier to win this prestigious “Angler of the Year” award on August 18, 2012. That day happened to be her Grandfathers birthday.Marianne’s grandfather had passed the year prior along with her by his side. On that day Marianne was able to dedicate the Angler of the Year Award to him.
Prior to Professional Angling Marianne spent 10 years coaching youth sports such as soccer, basketball and track.
Her coaching skills have carried thru into angling for our youth.
Since 2009 she has been the Youth Clinic Director for the National Professional Anglers Association for all of the AIM Pro Walleye Tournaments as well as the National Walleye Tour Tournaments.
“As the years have passed I have found myself blessed with multiply opportunities and enjoy passing on the fishing excitement with non-profit organizations such as Fishing Has No Boundaries or the NPAA Youth Clinics.”
During the winter months you can find me speaking throughout the Midwest at multiple Ice Shows, Boat Shows and Fishing or Outdoor Shows.
Marianne is also a licensed United States Coast Guard Captain on the Great Lakes and guides primarily on Green Bay in Wisconsin.
