The Hunting Heritage Trust and the National Shooting Sports Foundation have recognized GunBroker.com for “…exemplary support of America’s hunting and shooting sports heritage” through its important role in the success of the 2012 SHOT Show auction.
Powered by more than 100,000 collective “views” and nearly 160 bids on GunBroker.com, the auction of a special SHOT Show handgun, rifle and two SHOT Show knives yielded more than $31,000 in support of America’s hunting and shooting sports heritage.
The 2012 SHOT Show auction on GunBroker.com featured a unique “Glock Statue of Liberty Pistol”, a fully engraved Baron-Winchester Model 1892 rifle commemorating the 30th Anniversary of Baron Technology and two custom Ross Tyser knives.
Bidding was scheduled to close at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 20, the final day of the SHOT Show, but active bidding toward the close of the auction triggered GunBroker.com’s 15-minute rule and several 15-minute extensions. When the GunBroker.com gavel finally came down, the high bid on the Glock Statue Gun was $15,025; the high bid on the Winchester Model 1892 fully engraved by Baron Engraving was $ $12,802 and the two Ross Tyser custom knives auctioned for $2,000 each.

The annual SHOT Show auction is a program of the National Shooting Sports Foundation and is administered by the Hunting Heritage Trust.
