The Future Fisherman Foundation is pleased to announce the ground-breaking Hooked on Fishing Not on Drugs training program, which set the stage for youth aquatic education more than 20 years ago, is now available online at F3’s, www.futurefisherman.org.
Interested applicants click on the HOFNOD training link on F3’s website to register. Once registered, the in-structor’s manual will be mailed to the trainee’s address to use as a guide while viewing the training video. There’s a small fee for the training and manual, but it’s considerably less than the cost of onsite training.
“We’re thrilled to finally reach a point where we can offer this training program in the video format,” F3 Execu-tive Director, Mark Gintert, commented. “We do trainings all over the country and the biggest obstacle is a al-ways a source of funding and the added expense of travel and lodging for our participants. This option will make things a lot easier for anyone interested in this outstanding program.”
“We’d also like to thank our partners at Careco TV in San Antonio, Texas,” Gintert continued. “Our training has always drawn great reviews and although it’s hard to simulate a live setting, the staff at Careco helped in-corporate an identical agenda and techniques we use to really bring this training to life. Their willingness to help ensure the future of fishing is unequalled; we couldn’t have tackled this project without their help.”
