The HT Enterprises Electronic Polar Tip-Up features an electronic alarm that sends out an audible siren and light when tripped. These tip-ups include a v-shaped, “stronger than wood” frame, a freeze-proof trip mechanism and a multiple setting trip shaft. Link.
The electronic base receiver features an orange dot that when lined up with the magnet in the trip mechanism keeps the alarm silent. As soon as a fish takes the bait and the spool begins to turn, the magnet and receiver break alignment and the alarm sounds.
