Hot off the IGFA World Records desk: German angler Joachim Ochmann landed this potential 3 kg (6 lb) line class record Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) on May 10th while fishing in the Baltic Sea, out of Glowe, Germany. He was trolling a blinker when the fish hit, and Ochmann needed eight minutes to land the 9.35 kg (20 lb 9 oz) salmon. If approved, the catch will beat the existing record by nearly three pounds.
