New for the 2015 fishing season, Lund Boats unveils the new 2275 Baron—the legendary boat company’s ultimate big water ride just got even better. Among a line-up of eight newly engineered Lund models, the well-appointed 2275 Baron measures precisely 22 feet, 9 inches in length, and boasts an expansive 102-inch beam—literally enough legroom to comfortably carry a starting football line-up, plus the coach.
For over two decades, this luxurious liner has instilled its captains with supreme confidence on North America’s largest waters. Simultaneously, the Lund Baron has gifted its passengers with a safe, smooth ride, plus the finest fishing experiences of their lives. Moreover, the new 2275 Baron offers versatility in abundance.
The dual-purpose bow instantly converts from a decked-out fishing platform to a comfy bow rider seating area for four, which includes a quick-access drink cooler. In the cockpit area there are three rows of two seat bases, plus two flip-up seats in the rear for even more capacity. Bow-to-stern, the spacious Baron offers an amazing 12-person capacity.
While imagining such spacious comfort is as easy as stepping aboard, it’s the less visible intricacies that speak volumes of this new model. The 2275 Baron has enhanced rod storage with a center locker for five – 9-foot rods and five 8-foot, 6-inch rods, all stowed securely and out of the way. There’s also a port rod locker that houses rods up to 10 feet in length. Add in the increased bow and side storage, two waterproof storage containers and the oversized aerated 38-inch, 24-gallon aft livewell and you have the ultimate big water fishing boat.
Much more than just a masterful fishing boat, the 2275 Baron also offers key engineering traits that allow for seamless, functional conversion into a family-friendly watersport rig. There’s an integrated 4-Step Boarding Ladder to provide safe and easy entry, an Integrated Canvas Top Hider, room for a wakeboard and skis, and also an integrated Rear Ski Pylon option.
While obvious on-board luxury abounds, it’s perhaps Lund’s patented hull construction that matters most. “The new 2275 Baron boasts the best big water aluminum hull ever built,” says Rory Wiebe, Lund Boats product manager. “We use 5052 H 34 Aluminum. This amazing hull material provides the perfect balance between strength, weight, hardness and flexibility. The Baron’s IPS2 hull is designed to deliver clean water to the motor, provide fantastic cornering and control, and our patented power strakes and rails funnel water down and away to keep you dry.”
“We’re exceedingly proud of the new 2275 Baron. It delivers a luxurious big water ride that every angler deserves to experience.”
