Built to military specifications, the M30r LRF is incredibly rugged and reliable based on Steiner’s battle-proven porro prism design. This compact binocular is the perfect combination of premium Steiner optics with a powerful Class I, eye safe laser that will accurately range targets from 27 to 1,680 yards. For redundancy in the event of battery failure or out-of-range targets, Steiner has incorporated its SUMR ranging reticle.
The M30r LRF’s digital display can be set to read in meters or yards. The range display is superimposed over the image seen in the unit’s right half. Operation is quick and easy. Just center the target display on target while touching and releasing the “RANGING” button located on top of the binocular. The digital display will instantly provide an accurate distance. Holding the ranging button for more than three seconds activates the unit’s scan mode for measuring small or moving targets. Scan mode switches off automatically after 20 seconds to conserve battery life. A single, easily accessible 3-volt CR2 battery powers the unit.
