Moultrie is expanding into the security and surveillance industry with the introduction of TRACE (Tactical Recording and Capture Equipment), a new series of digital video surveillance cameras specifically designed to keep watch over personal property and belongings. TRACE is the result of an in-depth marketing research project undertaken by Moultrie. During their research, Moultrie found that 24 percent of current customers have used their existing cameras for security or surveillance. In addition, the research pointed out that a majority of Moultrie customers would probably or definitely purchase a surveillance version of a Moultrie camera.
The ability to detect and capture evidence of intruders will now be available with two TRACE cameras: the Premise and the Perimeter. Each of these cameras features an 8.0 megapixel low-glow infrared mini cam capable of detecting images from 50 feet with the Premise and 45 feet with the Perimeter, even during the darkest hours of the night.
In addition, any intrusion or movement is sure to be identified by the lightning fast trigger speed that all Moultrie motion cameras are known for. This attribute has been complemented by a Fast Fire Continuous Shooting feature, which captures one to four pictures per second. Both TRACE models offer 720p HD video that includes audio. The Perimeter surveillance camera incorporates three motion sensors proficient in covering an area of 150 degrees.
