Yesterday I told you about the shipment received from Work Sharp. Well today Rowen Voris from another west coast company, COAST Products sent some great items, some of which are new models of knives I already had.
As always, Coast Products are great items. The photo shows (left to right) the new LED Clip light, which runs on 2 AAA batteries, has two light modes (regular and infrared), rotating head and clip; a couple of the new “Rapid Response” blade assist knives in the RX300 and 350 models, which have a side clip; and new FL75R rechargeable headlight, with battery and charger. The battery for the FL75R is a separate unit that can be removed and charged, or left in the light and charged – both ways with a USB charger. Three AAA batteries can be used to substitute the rechargeable battery. Other features of the FL75R are a 3 intensity light, that will work in spot or flood, flip out to adjust downward or straight ahead, and red lights that are only one intensity.
If you hunt for nightcrawlers the lower intensity settings on the two lights, as well as the red lights, would be perfect. Both of these lights have unlimited uses and not just for people in the outdoors.
The blade assisted opening knives are great for when one handed use is needed. I have used this many times in my conservation work as well as when fishing.
All of these would be great Father’s Day gift ideas, not to mention Mother’s Day for the outdoor Mom.
