The National Marine Manufacturers Association has announced the launch of a new boating safety awareness series—boating safety brochures to help educate consumers on important boating safety guidelines.
The series is available in print-ready and digital formats at no cost to the recreational marine industry.
Each brochure, which covers safety information, helpful tips, and contact information, can be printed as a physical brochure or used online through an embed code. The series is available on NMMA.org.
The best boating experience is a safe one and NMMA has compiled comprehensive safety information in this series of concise, easy-to-read brochures to reach boaters worldwide,” said Robert Newsome, NMMA’s senior vice president of strategy, engineering standards and membership. “This is a big step forward for our industry to have such comprehensive safety information available for all members of the industry to access easily and quickly online. However, to be effective, we need manufacturers, dealers, marinas, rental outlets and all industry stakeholders to share this information with their customers. Working together to promote important boating safety measures is essential to creating a positive boating experience.”
Topics in NMMA’s Boating Safety Awareness Series are:
- Boat Safety in the Marina
- Carbon Monoxide Detectors
- Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
- Electrical Shock Hazards
- Green Boating
- Marine Fuel Systems Safety
- Propeller Safety
- Towed Watersports Safety
- You are in Command
“The print version of these brochures is a great addition to owners’ manuals and boat owner information packets,” Newsome added. “They can also be easily printed on your own, or incorporated on your company’s website with the digital embed codes.” ??Access the Boating Safety Awareness Series resources and guides here.
