Pontoon manufacturer Premier Marine unveiled the Velocity, which has a new design. “It’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before,” Premier president Lori Melbostad said in a statement. “This model is refreshed, reworked and amped up with sleek colored fiberglass panels that look far different from the traditional styling that we’re used to seeing in a pontoon.” The Velocity is constructed with a single fiberglass panel
in the bow that matches the arc of the patent-pending Prow Chassis — a deck that extends on top of a longer center tube — giving the pontoon extra deck space and an aerodynamic profile. The redesigned model also adds a specially designed gunnel, corner castings and lighting to create a new look.
Available in a 230, 250 and 270, the Velocity comes standard with a colored fiberglass bow, aft and side panels, a Zenith wheel, Liberty helm, Opulent sport furniture, Marine Audio stereo and speakers, new Duro rails and graphics, a patent-pending Stanchion lighting package and a 30-inch PTXTM performance package.
A Mirage changing room is available as an option.
“The Velocity is a game changer for pontoon dealers,” said Jeremy Wiczek, sales manager at Nisswa Marine in Nisswa, Minn. “It’s a very sleek and sexy-looking pontoon like no other in the industry. Its style lines from the bow to the stern with fiberglass have appeal that will draw in a crowd that once thought pontoons were maybe not cool enough-looking in the past.”
