Angler Lee Novotny caught and released this beautiful rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) on February 19th while fly fishing the Clearwater River in Idaho, USA. It took the experienced angler nearly 30 minutes to subdue the 100 cm trout after it
ate the egg pattern fly he was casting. If approved, Novotny’s trout will become the new All-Tackle Length record, which currently stands at 77 cm.
