Election Day 2016 is quickly approaching. It comes a bit late this year, on November 8, so mark your calendar. Control of the U.S. Senate is very much in question. And the overriding issue in Senate races is the future of the Supreme Court. With one seat on the Court now vacant, and several other Justices possibly retiring in the near term, the next president will clearly have the opportunity to reshape the Court for generations to come.

Court Rules on Zimbabwe Elephant Imports – Good News and Bad News
The Court ruled in our favor that the FWS violated its obligations to hunters/importers when it failed to comply with its own promise not to change the enhancement finding for Zimbabwe without first publishing notice of the change in the Federal Register.

Constitutional Right to Hunt and Fish
Nineteen states guarantee the right to hunt and fish in their constitutions, with 17 of those approved by the voters. SCI lobbies to guarantee hunting and fishing as a right.

SCI Supports Unified Efforts of Hunters
SCI’s Department of Hunter Advocacy attended the General Meeting of the Federation of Associations for Hunting and Conservation (FACE) of the European Union. SCI has made a concerted effort to help fight anti-hunting initiatives in the EU.
