and capabilities of the company’s line of jackplates, resulting in the introduction of two all-new SeaStar hydraulic jackplates. The SeaStar Jackplate is designed for outboards up to 300 horsepower, and the SeaStar HD Jackplate will handle outboard engines up to 350 horsepower. Both these new SeaStar Jackplates take full advantage of the company’s hydraulic expertise and integrate seamlessly with SeaStar steering systems.
SeaStar Jackplates feature new high-output hydraulic actuators with 6-inches of travel that can easily raise and lower an outboard engine in under 8.5 seconds in all conditions. This rapid response time provides boat drivers with the ability to quickly adjust the depth of the prop while underway, whether precisely raising the motor to run at top speed or lowering it when encountering rough water.
The SeaStar Jackplate can handle outboards up to 300 HP and weighing up to 625-pounds. The SeaStar HD Jackplate is built using higher strength materials and can handle up to 350 horsepower outboard engines weighing up to 785-pounds. Both models feature a waterproof design.
In addition to its outstanding functionality, boat owners will also appreciate the styling of the new SeaStar Jackplates, as they complement the new look of SeaStar hydraulic cylinders, and the updated single and dual handle Pro Trim controls. The SeaStar Jackplate is available in 4″, 6″, 8″, 10″ and 12″ setbacks. The SeaStar HD Jackplate is available in 4″ and 6″ setbacks. Both are fully compatible with Power-Pole® and Talon® anchor systems.
To ensure maximum performance and control, the slide mechanisms on both units are fully contained so that even when fully extended, the outboard remains rigidly supported within the mount. Heavy-duty stainless steel guide bars and hydraulic rods are chrome-plated to last in harsh saltwater conditions. SeaStar Jackplates are expertly assembled to SeaStar quality standards and rigorously tested at their state-of-the-art US assembly facility.
A high-visibility position scale provides the driver with an at-a-glance visual position indicator. For real-time information at the helm, SeaStar is also offering a SmartStick® position sensor and gauge option. The SmartStick sensor is a non-contact linear position sensor with no moving parts to wear out. All the electronics are integrated into the sensor body, making it fully waterproof.
