The film captures the preparation, persistence and hard work of Adam Foss as he ventures into Alaska’s Chugach Range. Foss, who is a Sitka Athlete, is the youngest individual to complete his Four North American Wild Sheep with archery tackle.
The odds of drawing a Chugach archery Dall sheep tag aren’t great. The odds of harvesting a ram are worse. The mountains rise 5,000 feet from the valley floor, there’s no cover, and the sheep – skittish from a month of rifle seasons – hold high and remain on alert. In 2012, all 60 tags went unfilled. Of course, Adam Foss wouldn’t do it if it didn’t make him smile so big. Connected documents Foss’ 2013 adventure through expansive visuals and the voicemails he left for close friends and family.
