I’m always on the lookout for new baits to try out. Sometimes the new baits work out really great and become new favorites, and sometimes, well, let’s just say I’m not so sad when they get lost. On a recent fishing weekend I was able to try a new Snag Proof bait that was given to me to try out at iCast. Connie gave it to me and challenged me to go and catch a nice big bass with it. Since I use a lot of the American-made Snag Proof’s line up already (like Ish’s Phat Frogs, Bobby’s Perfect Frog, and Pro-Series Frogs), I didn’t hesitate to accept that challenge.
The bait is called Curly-Q. The bait is a spinner bait with a hallow body plastic that comes to a twister tail. The idea is to represent a tadpole with a little flash. It also is spot on for representing bait fish.
