The 2014 Snag Proof Frog Only Potomac River Open Bass Tournament date and venue has been released, according to Snag Proof’s Connie Fuller. This years tournament will launch from Smallwood State Park in Marbury, Maryland on Saturday, July 26. This is “prime time froggin'” on one of the most stellar topwater frog rivers in the country!
In addition to the three-bass limit each team is eligible to enter the “Super Snakehead Showdown” where cash prizes will be awarded to the three heaviest snakeheads weighed in. The Potomac River has received notoriety that past few years as the dreaded predator population continues to increase.
There will also be three Big Bass awards and with a 1-in 5 payback 20% of the field will receive a check. Those are pretty good odds!
