There is a very real threat that soft plastic lures will be banned from use in Maine. In spite of a recommendation from the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, new legislation banning these lures could be introduced as early as January. Why is this happening? It’s simply because worn-out lures are ending up as litter.
