The New Sub Zero Base Layer from Clam

Clam Corp LogoLayering up is incredibly important to stay warm and dry while outdoors, especially in extremely cold conditions. That’s why Clam has another new layer this year called the Sub Zero Base Layer. Tops and bottoms sold separately, the high pile fleece is so comfortable you won’t want to take this layer off even when you’re indoors. Moisture wicking and anti-microbial technology retains heat but skin stays dry. An anti-static finish makes a comfortable difference as layers go on to venture outdoors for a day on the ice and then peel off to stay inside. Elastic cuffs offer a snug fit and retain body heat. It’s the perfect weight and thickness for comfort and warmth, yet ease of layering up with outer bibs and parka.

“We fish in cold conditions and a huge part to success is being able to deal with the cold elements,” said Jiggy Andersen, host of Across the Ice Belt television and Ice Team pro staff. “The Sub Zero Base Layer is the perfect way to start my layering process. It plain and simply keeps my core body temp warm.”  Available in size medium to 3XL, the Sub Zero Base Layer weighs 300 grams and is sewn with a left chest pocket on the top and front fly on the bottoms. “It’s so comfortable,” added Nick Chiodo, director of marketing at Clam. “This will be a big hit because it is perfect for layering with outer wear but incredibly comfortable when indoors.”
