The water temp was around 36 with an air temperature in the 60’s. Wind was blasting at 20 to 30 mph. I managed to catch a few thanks to the Blitz Lures LLC Spotted Goby Blade, Natural Forage Baits Swim Bait and a finger jigged 2″ Power Minnow. I also added some of Kick’n Bass Fish Attractants‘ Java to the soft plastic baits.
Everything seemed to be going haywire, including having my Blade snap off when casting in about 20 feet of water. About 3 casts later my Swim Bait hooked the end of the line that broke off, and I was able to retrieve my Blitz Blade. At first I thought I was going to have to get in touch with Terry Vance and tell him I had lost my last Spotted Goby.
Don Banning reported that he was on another lake and caught a few small bass on a bucktail Road Runner.
Until next time, get out on the water, and enjoy a great day of fishing.
