Brandon Rogalla and I hit the water in the late afternoon. According to Brandon, he thanks the abilities of TTI’s XPoint Worm Hook for helping him catch more fish than he has in a long time. They weren’t huge, but he had fun.
I caught a few on a Natural Forage Baits RT7 worm in black/blue fleck, with the largest bass on a Blitz Lures LLC black/blue Spyder Jig with matching NFB Mad Craw. I also lost four bass that were a lot bigger on the same lure.
Weeds were extremely heavy. The fish were located between the shore and weeds, or in open weed pockets.
Both bluegill and bass were starting to spawn.
The water is around 62 to 65 degrees.
Until next time, get out on the water and have a great day of fishing.
