Members of the USA Shooting Team and staff will be represented at the 2012 Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, January 17-20. The 34th SHOT Show, presented by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), will bring together over 60,000 firearm industry professionals including buyers, exhibitors, media and guests. The theme of the 2012 show is “One Industry – One Voice.” Traditionally, exhibitors debut new products/services and strengthen industry relations. SHOT Show is an excellent opportunity for the Team to stay in touch with the outdoor industry and win the admiration of new fans.
Team members can be found not only at USA Shooting’s booth (L332), but they will also be visiting the following USA Shooting sponsors: ELEY (13707), Winchester (13129) and Kimber (11762).
The USA Shooting Team will host a press conference on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 11:30AM in the Press Conference Room 3306, adjacent to the NSSF press room. The Team will discuss the importance and excitement of 2012-an Olympic year-and whatit means to the shooting industry. The following nominees to the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team will also field questions and talk about their Olympic path: four-time Olympic medalist Kim Rhode (El Monte, Calif.) and Sergeant First Class Eric Uptagrafft (Phenix City, Ala.). Rhode and Uptagrafft will be joined by Paralympic team member Sergeant First Class Josh Olson (Spokane, Wash.).
Corrie West, USA Shooting’s Director, Marketing and Communications, commented, “USA Shooting is excited to be attending the 2012 SHOT Show and is looking forward to greeting attendees at the industry’s premier trade show.”
In addition to Rhode, Uptagraft and Olson, additional USA Shooting athletes available for interviews throughout the week will include: Vincent Hancock (Eatonton, Ga.), Keith Sanderson (Colorado Springs, Colo.), Sandra Uptagrafft (Phenix City, Ala.), Amy Sowash (Richmond, K.Y.), BJ Blanchard (Vidor, Texas), Matt Gossett (Springville, Ala.), Meghann K.
