Winchester Dark Horse Crossbow

Winchester Dark Horse CrossbowWinchester Archery is proud to introduce the New Winchester Dark Horse Crossbow with its patent pending uncocking technology. That’s right, never fire a bolt again to unload. For years, hunters have complained that shooting a bolt in order to decock their crossbow after dark is not only inconvenient, noisy, poses a risk of losing their bolt, but also just darn right dangerous. A matter of fact, in some states it’s mandatory to decock your crossbow, as carrying your loaded crossbow from the field after dark is illegal. The new Winchester Dark Horse provides a fast and simple solution for uncocking.

To decock, simply remove your bolt, place the cradle on the bowstring, draw the butt stock pad out, actuating the hydraulic cylinder, and pull the trigger. The unique hydraulic decocking system provides a safe and effective means of unloading without ever having to fire a bolt without using air tanks, electric gadgets, or ropes.

The Dark Horse comes with an adjustable-collapsing foregrip that travels on its own pic-rail making the crossbow a comfortable fit for anyone. It’s straddled by two additional pic-rails for attaching a camera, flashlight, or any other accessory.

The Winchester Dark Horse sports a black tactical profile, is simple to decock even with the powerful 122 ft./lbs. of harnessed Kinetic Energy. This narrowly compacted tactical is a mere 17.50″ axle to axle, powered by 180 lbs. of draw weight, 13 inches of power stroke and weighs only 8.8 lbs. With speeds nearing 360 fps, the Dark Horse should take the industry by storm. The price tag for this beauty is $1499.99 and comes with custom embroidered bow case, matching removable quiver, 4 bolts, and of course, as with all Winchester bows, a fully Transferable-Lifetime Warranty.

Winchester Archery President Tim Barber says, “when it comes to crossbows, we think safety first.” The New Winchester Dark Horse will be available later this year.
