Senate Bill 199 which will go into effect after 90 days.  This important self-defense law is another step forward in protecting the Second Amendment rights of active duty members, employees and law-abiding Ohioans across The Buckeye State.

Auto repair shop owner shoots would-be robber in SW Philly
Police say an auto repair shop owner turned the tables on a would-be robber in Southwest Philadelphia. It happened just after 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the 6800 block of Paschall Avenue. Police say the owner shot a 30-year-old man in the chest, right shoulder and right buttock – once each – as he tried to rob the shop. The suspected robber was armed when the store owner shot him, police say.

Pizza delivery driver shoots would-be robber in NE Philly
A pizza delivery driver shot a would-be robber during an attempted holdup in Northeast Philadelphia. It happened in the 1400 block of Wellington Street around 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Police say the driver was approached by a 19-year-old man, who tried to rob him. The delivery drive shot the man twice.

Uber driver shoots armed robber along causeway near Aventura Mall
An Uber driver, confronted by a robber who had a pair of guns, shot the man on Sunday next to a causeway near the Aventura Mall, police said. The driver, who wasn’t immediately identified, was not hurt in the violent robbery attempt next to the Lehman Causeway, according to Aventura police. A passenger inside the Uber, who was heading to the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, also was not harmed.
